    To deliver its growth objectives, CosmoProf is seeking a transformative leader to serve as Vice President of Field Operation, Reporting to the Group Vice President Stores and dotted-line GVP Full service, this role will have responsibility for the leading and delivering excellent financial and operational performance. They must inspire and lead Field Operation to deliver a superior experience for our customers and profitable sales for the company.     This senior level role leads all aspects of retail operations to include 1200 company operated stores and Full service which encompasses field operations and the internal operations team. He/She plays a highly visible leadership role in the organization and will be a critical partner to the Group Vice Presidents of Stores and Full Service and a key member of the Field Leadership team.


    They will be able to analyze the current operational needs and then prioritize, develop and roll out best practice policies, procedures, communications, education and operational efficiencies. They will make certain that key strategies are creative, forward looking, while also working cross-functionally with Stores, Full Service, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Training, Human Resources, IT and Supply Chain to identify operational and business opportunities.


    This person will also be accountable for developing and implementing business and financial models, operational metrics, incentive models and tools to assess costs, revenue and margin, and strategic implications of potential initiatives and other activities that will drive growth and customer retention.


    This position will have overall accountability for Communication, Education, Operations, Workforce Management, and Policy and Procedures


    Retail Growth & Financial Objectives–

    • Deliver annual topline and bottom line financial goals
    • Develop and implement operational and in-store strategies and tactics to deliver the annual operating plan
    • Monitor financial results, assess factors impacting performance and take appropriate actions to achieve annual operating plan
    • Responsible for developing and managing opening and operating plans for new doors and remodels to deliver financial targets, operational performance and an improved customer experience
    • Responsible for delivering an in-store experience to drive traffic, comp sales and customer loyalty
    • Understand competitive landscape and trends. Develop innovative retail approaches that provide a premium customer experience and meet CosmoProf financial and operational goals to be competitive in a dynamic environment

    Store Operations -

    • Ensure Field Organization are operating efficiently to maximize financial performance and to deliver a superior customer experience consistent with brand standards
    • Identify and implement best practices for customer experience, sales, store appearance, staffing, inventory management and financial control
    • Responsible for deployment of initiatives to continuously manage waste
    • Responsible for development and deployment of labor model to maximize customer experience while managing costs
    • Leads Internal operations team responsible for Field operating policies and procedures, field communications across company operated and full service general operations
    • Leads training to include training strategies, content development and deployment and training systems for both company and vendor education
    • Ensures system compliance with company policies and with federal, state, and local regulations that impact daily business operations

    • 10+ years’ experience managing and/or directing large multi-unit, geographically disbursed store based operations
    • BA or BS degree required. Master’s degree or MBA a plus.
    • Specialty store expert in operations, customer engagement, communication and education
    • Experience in “best of class” retail environments known for having a strong customer focus.
    • Must possess strong communication skills with ability to quickly build strong relationships across the organization. Desire to work together with colleagues across the company as few boundaries exist for participating in initiatives.

    • Indirect and/or direct supervision of, or collaboration with support functions (Finance, Human Resources, Training, Marketing, Real Estate, IT, and Merchandising)
    • Real Estate, Finance, Marketing and Multi-Channel expertise a plus
    • Must be able to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to hit deadlines
