    Sally Beauty Holdings (NYSE: SBH) is the world's largest wholesale and retail distributor of beauty supplies.  Our world headquarters is conveniently located in Denton Texas, just 5 minutes north of Lake Lewisville off of I35E.  


    We are currently seeking a Sales Planner to join our growing team!  This position is for a core team member in the Hair Category. In this role you will handle business forecast, vendor relationships and core segments of the business for the Armstrong McCall division.


    • Selects merchandise and promotions consistent with quality, quantity, and specification requirements. Communicates Armstrong McCall product needs to Divisional Purchasing Group. Ensures merchandise is advertised, ordered, received and available to customers in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.
    • Forecasting: analyzes and monitors sales records, trends and economic conditions to anticipate consumer buying patterns and determine what the company will sell and how much inventory is needed.   
    • Selects merchandise for the category  to be pre sold to customer.
    • Obtains customer feedback on promotions and determines amount to be purchased.
    • Assist in the development of the category growth objectives.
    • Work with Partner brands to ensure accurate and timely completion of forms submitted.
    • Develop, maintain and enhance relationships with brands.
    • Provide updates on brand performance to Management.
    • Negotiates special promotions with vendors.
    • Maintains Promotional tracking for all pre ordered promotions.
    • Analyze sales, margin and promotions performance.
    • Works collaboratively across cross-functional teams including sales team, merchandising, planning and allocation, finance and marketing.


    • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline, math or statistics or relevant experience
    • 2 years in a position requiring data analysis, problem solving and developing recommendations in a business environment
    • Proficient in MS Excel & Word.
    • Knowledge of BSG and vendor merchandise ordering, inventory and distribution processes
    • Knowledge of the business characteristics and processes of stores and a FS organization.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Ability to articulate logic and rationale for proposed actions.
    • Ability to make professional presentations to groups.
