The Sr. Director Social Media and Influencer Strategy, SBH will develop and oversee the implementation of strategy to create and sustain an engaged and loyal fan base across multiple social platforms including Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, etc. This role is highly collaborative and will work across the organization with multiple stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and to measure success.  This will require a blend of strategic planning, financial acumen, strategic analysis and influencer management.

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for optimizing all SBH social communications channels against key KPIs and making data-informed decisions for campaigns and long-term strategies. This includes leading the strategic design and execution of SBH top communications priorities on social media channels and influencer partnerships to contribute to the enterprise goals of driving Brand Equity, brand revitalization, social impact, engagement, generating inbound traffic and encouraging product adoption and relevance.
  • Lead ongoing development of influencer strategy, including managing a significant talent roster across both the Sally and Cosmoprof businesses -- identify new opportunities, cultivate partnerships and ensure all influencers are effective advocates of the company through social media, education and other experiential/marketing activities; work cross-functionally with Store Operations, Merchandising, and other teams to identify opportunities to leverage influencers across the organization.
  • Test and evaluate media tools, opportunities and features to improve company offerings
  • Monitor trends and innovation across social media channels
  • Serving as a lead collaborator with key stakeholders to build ongoing relationships, develop new creative ideas and prioritize activities that benefit the SBH enterprise
  • Maximizing brand social media channels to positively shape the SBS and BSG experience among customers (retail and pro), industry leaders, media, influencers and associates
  • Leveraging the power of social media through agile recalibration and taking advantage of opportunities as they arise
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
  • Collaborates with the internal Marketing team leaders including E-commerce, Digital Marketing, CRM and Category Strategy to support their respective missions through content with a consistent and relevant voice
  • Recruit, build and scale the social media department from a small team today to a significant resource for the company; set clear objectives and KPI’s, learning and development opportunities for existing and new team members

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree, (advanced degree preferred) in marketing communications or a related discipline
  • Candidates should have 10+ years of relevant communications experience, with a proven track record of ROI, strategy and execution, and a demonstration of career growth with expanded duties and responsibilities over time
  • Successful candidates will possess swift decision making abilities, bring creativity and innovation, understand the integrative social communications, and have a commitment to cultivating and developing their teams
  • Strong leadership and management skills, proven success building a team and cultivating talent
  • Knowledge of relevant social media tools, including Aspire, Spreadfast; continue to identify and test new tools
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven experience identifying meaningful, actionable insights within past successful social media campaigns
  • Knowledge and strong interest in pop culture, social platforms and influencer talent
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization with employees at all levels
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical mindset and strong business acumen
  • Comprehends the balance between community/engagement and driving brand/product adoption
  • Strong talent development skills, including leading both internal and external teams
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
