    Sally Beauty is the world’s largest wholesale and retail distributor of beauty supplies and we have over 3,300 stores carrying over 7,000 professional products for our customers.


    We are currently hiring Assistant Store Managers to join our Sally Beauty Team. The Assistant Store Manager aids the Store Manager by managing and providing leadership for all operations & support processes and activities in the store in order to achieve store sales and profit objectives. The Assistant Store Manager will also assist with managing the store staff by coaching, training, giving employee feedback, and scheduling.


    • Supervision of employees including but not limited to the following: personnel action decisions in the absence of the store manager, assist in the continuous training and development of staff, assist with interviewing and hiring store staff, employee scheduling and work flow delegation, coaches and counsels employee problems, delegates and distributes work to store staff as needed, monitors and follows-up on work and productivity of store staff, and ensures positive employee relations and motivation of subordinates.
    • Assists customers in the checkout process, reviews, and approves all exception transactions. Resolve customer problems and complaints as needed in accordance with company policy.
    • Aids in product orders by analyzing store trends and anticipating customer demands. Ensures that proper ordering tasks and correction counts are completed and that salon orders are accurate and delivered in a timely manner. Maintains a well-stocked store at all times. Will review any overstock and defective merchandise with Store or District Manager.
    • Protects store assets by ensuring all staff follow safety and security rules and procedures.
    • Maintains a high standard of merchandising, placement, store signage, and proper display techniques to create an inviting atmosphere for customers.
    • Performs all store opening and closing procedures.
    • Attends and coordinates trade shows and technical presentations as assigned. Attends periodic store operations meetings called by management. Conducts periodic meetings in conjunction with the Store Manager to keep employee relations at a high level and to keep employees informed of relevant information.

    • Possess a passion for the beauty industry with the desire to constantly learn and then teach our store personnel and customers about our products
    • Display strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task, problem-solve and act independently
    • Self-starter with a drive to continuously learn and develop in career
    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Must have 3+ year(s) of retail sales/customer service experience
    • Must have 1+ year(s) of managerial experience
    • Licensed cosmetologist desirable but not required
