    Sally Beauty Holdings (NYSE: SBH) is the world’s largest wholesale and retail distributor of beauty supplies.  Our world headquarters is conveniently located in Denton Texas, just 5 minutes north of Lake Lewisville off of I35E. We currently have an opening for an Operational Accounting Supervisor. 


    Our Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and development of assigned Store Accounting associates and their related functions.


    • Supervise work of assigned staff to ensure that all accounts are reconciled in a timely manner. Make sure all policy and procedures are implemented and adhered to by staff. 
    • Perform annual reviews and development plan for 4 clerical employees. Monitor reconciliation workflow and redirect staff resources as necessary.
    • Create and submit Account reconciliations for AR, store deposits, and over shorts. Create and review detail proofs for consolidated bank accounts. Distribute and track completion of unbalanced detail proofs.
    • Monitor and report missing deposits and over/shorts during the month and at month end submit outstanding items to management for review. Reconcile variance items for the department greater than $500. Unreconcile all department transactions as needed and make sure documentation is complete.
    • Train new team members on assigned duties and assist with training and offer guidance to all team members on new duties or procedures when adopted by the department. Maintain department procedure documentation and assign procedures to appropriate team member for updating when needed. Complete store setups in ReconNet for store additions and changes.


    • Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred
    • 5-10 Years of comparable industry experience or 3-5 years experience with 2 years of leadership experience.
    • Exerience with ReconNET aplus
    • Working knowledge with Journal Entries preferred
    • Experience with Oacle GL a plus
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel including Pivot Tables and Macros a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work with limited supervision
    • Team player with ability to work with all personality types
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of the company from sales to upper management
    • Ability to motivate and keep team focus
