    Sally Beauty Holdings (NYSE: SBH) is the world’s largest wholesale and retail distributor of beauty supplies.  Our world headquarters is conveniently located in Denton Texas, just 5 minutes north of Lake Lewisville off of I35E.

     

    We are currently seeking a Sr. Director Construction to join our team.  This person will oversee the construction and finish out of all new stores, remodels, relocations to include store set up, purchasing of signage, fixtures, graphics, maintenance and design of all store layouts.  As well as managing all areas of facilities for both Morse Street and Colorado locations that includes café, Office Services. Includes office reconfiguration, general maintenance, landscaping, preventative maintenance programs and major repairs.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the construction, store maintenance and property management areas for all new and existing stores. This includes working with construction, maintenance manager’s and sign coordinator on better practices, solving specific store issues and vendor relationships. Also work directly with energy aggregator on electric pricing in deregulated markets to get best prices for stores.
    • Manage the facilities area for the Colorado and Morse street facilities to include budgeting, planning of projects, space planning and preventative maintenance programs working in conjunction with the facilities manager. Manage Office Services/ Café areas to include budgeting, personnel and project planning.
    • Supervise the set up of all new, relocated and remodeled stores to company standards working with various departments that include merchandising (plan o guide implementation), Outsource companies (store set up), I.T.(P.O.S. installations) and field operations (V.P.’s/ T.M.’s and D.M.’s)
    • Supervise the ordering of fixtures, graphics and signage for all new stores, remodels and relocations.
    • Manage and update new store schedule and Store fixture reports. New store schedule designates all new stores, remodels and relocations with beginning and end dates along with crew assignments. Store fixture report includes fixture vendor and type, fixture layout, linear footage and floor type.
    • Approve all invoices related to store set up, maintenance repairs and facilities work. Approve all fixture and merchandise floor plans. Manage all fixture rollout programs. This includes quoting to vendors, ordering the rollout and scheduling delivery.
    • Continue to find better practices to manage department and assets more efficiently and also control cost. This includes working with potential new vendors, ongoing changes with current vendors and bidding out current programs.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree
    • At least 5 yrs. experience in management including managing a staff and multiple direct reports
    • At least 3 year experience in Facilities Management and 3 years’ experience in project management
    • Good verbal and written communication
    • Versed in Excel, Word, Access
    • Must be able to prioritize multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
    • Familiar with major steel fixture vendors and parts – Darling, Syndicate, Madix
    • Must be able to make quick and sound decisions
    • Must be able to work with multiple departments in conjunction with ongoing projects to meet company standards
