Sally Beauty Holdings, the world’s largest wholesale and retail distributor of beauty supplies, is currently searching for a Communications Specialist. Our world headquarters is conveniently located just 5 minutes north of Lake Lewisville off of I35E.


This position will be responsible for assisting in creating and implementing a communication program that brings the Sally Beauty Experience to life through consistent, effective and strategically-aligned communications. Work closely with Store Support Center teams to ensure the field receives the engaging, accurate and timely information needed to successfully achieve sales and customer experience objectives. Participate in store flow projects and creating direction regarding merchandise attribution.


  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure all communications are relevant, compelling, customer focused, aligned with strategy, high quality, easy to understand/act upon and produces results.
  • Implement and protect communication cascade and standards for delivery of programs to field teams.
  • Review content for accuracy and completeness, development of effective messaging, adherence to brand and style standards and selection of appropriate vehicle and alignment with company vision and objectives.
  • Partners with Visual Merchandising and Merchandise Planning and Analysis to ensure store flow strategies and direction enhances merchandise attribution, improves customer experience and can be successfully executed by store teams
  • Provide  field teams with a clear understanding of how visual merchandising and merchandising programs support corporate strategy and enhance customer experience.
  • Champion communication and workload planning programs throughout the company. Provide education and support as needed to help business partners understand the value of effective communication and workload planning concepts and enable them to efficient navigate the process.
  • Identify opportunities and provide feedback for continuous improvement in communication techniques and processes from both Support Center and Field perspectives.
  • Other Duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related field
  • At least 1 or 2 years in Public Relations, Journalism, Corporate Communications or related fields
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential

  • Experience with task management and online communication technology preferred
  • Flexible schedule - some evenings and weekends may be required; ability to travel as needed (limited travel)
