Sally Beauty Holdings (NYSE: SBH) is the world's largest wholesale and retail distributor of beauty supplies.  Our world headquarters is conveniently located in Denton Texas, just 5 minutes north of Lake Lewisville off of I35E.   We are currently looking for an Education Manager to join our Store Operations team!

Our Education Manager will be responsible for creating education programs that inspire store teams to consistently deliver the Sally Beauty Experience. Leads technical development and deployment of education materials using a variety of tools and learning methodologies. Works closely with Subject Matter Experts, researching and developing content for use in training materials and presentations. Provide recommendations and lead projects to improve curriculum and education processes. Compiles data to measure participation in and effectiveness of education programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develops content and project plans for new and updated training programs. Applies detailed knowledge of company production processes, business systems, and/or changes in products, procedures or services.
  • Organizes and develops training materials, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia programs, meeting content and other educational materials.
  • Assists in the development, documentation, and implementation of brand development programs/career pathing for selected positions.
  • Utilizes a variety of educational technologies including learning management systems, instructional design, web based applications, graphic design and multimedia educational products.
  • Assists in compiling data to analyze past and current year training requirements for budget preparation.
  • Compiles and communicates metrics to measure participation in and effectiveness of education programs.
  • Provides administrator support for LMS system.
  • Assists Media Specialist as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business or related field
  • 4+ years of relevant and progressive experience in training (including instructional design and curriculum development) and/or Human Resources; within specialty retail industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated skills in a variety of educational technologies including learning management systems, instructional design, and web based applications, graphic design, and multimedia educational products
  • Excellent verbal communication, written communication, coaching, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proven project management skills to deliver high quality, complex projects
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers
  • LMS knowledge preferred
  • Flexible schedule - some evenings and weekends may be required; ability to travel as needed (limited travel)
