Overview

Sally Beauty Holdings (NYSE: SBH) is the world's largest wholesale and retail distributor of beauty supplies.  Our world headquarters is conveniently located  just 5 minutes north of Lake Lewisville off of I35E in Denton, TX.  

 

We currently have an opening for a Human Resources Shared Services Representative/Tier I.  The Shared Services Representative needs to create a positive, productive experience for managers and other employees who seek assistance on a broad range of matters pertaining to their relationship with the Company. Projects confidence, professionalism and genuine concern for matters brought forward by team members and follows through to ensure that each and every case is resolved. Consults with various levels of employees via telephone regarding various HR related issues, e.g. pay check concerns, time accruals, hours worked, HR system access, benefits, compensation, compliance/LOA, etc.   Provides support services with a high degree of customer satisfaction, expertise, and timeliness.  This includes evaluating the employee issue, quickly interpreting the situation, determining the appropriate resolution, transaction and/or escalation, and communicating the resolution and/or escalation to the employee.    

Responsibilities

  • Accepts large volumes of incoming calls from various levels of employees to quickly access and resolve HR related issues.  Ensures timely and accurate information/problem resolution to employees.  Acquires and maintains substantial knowledge concerning Human Resources policy, programs, and procedures that allows first call resolution in the majority of cases. 
  • Process and distribute related paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to resolve cases in a timely manner. Works with various departments to stay up to date on all policies, programs, and procedures. Integrates effectively with team members; seeking input/assistance as needed.  Strives to gather and share evidence and facts to allow for transparent knowledge transfer and effective overall capability of HR.
  • Other duties or responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1-year experience in customer service, data entry or related field.
  • Computer proficiency with working knowledge of MS Office – in particular Excel.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Prior Call Center experience is a plus
  • Prior ServiceNow application experience is a plus
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills (including professional telephone etiquette)
  • Stress management skills are essential
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to remain calm when confronted with hostility, anxiety or impatience will be assessed
  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers
  • Ability to provide high quality, timely, professional, and positive customer service
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to meet or exceed established service level expectations
