Overview

Sally Beauty is the world’s largest wholesale and retail distributor of beauty supplies and we have over 3,300 stores carrying over 7,000 professional products for our customers. We are looking for enthusiastic, driven, and team-oriented leaders to maximize our sales and profitability as well as connect our customers with the beauty world and our quality beauty products. Our organized and goal-oriented District Leaders oversee and support the operational activities of an average of 19 locations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides high-level oversight of all activities of the district’s store operations and personnel in the use of our company policies, and produces to achieve maximum sales and profits within your district
  • Monitors controllable expenses at store levels in order to maintain great levels while minimizing adverse effects on store operations, and maintaining minimum shrink
  • Supports and coaches team on company sales programs such as Beauty Club Card, Equipment Protection Plan, Items of the Month, etc.
  • Promotes excellent leadership qualities and leads by example among Store Leaders by ensuring on-going touch-base talks, completing intensive care training, and providing professional and constructive feedback to help improve Store Leaders’ performance and management skills
  • Acts as a reliable and effective communication link verbally and in writing among your stores, Territory Leader, and Support Center personnel to efficiently disseminate all information necessary
  • Hires store staff for new store openings working closely with set up crews to ensure adherence to grand opening schedules
  • Develops and maintain recruitment, training, motivation, and discipline programs of strong Store Leaders and store staff to drive excellent store operations and builds and maintains a talent pool of future field leaders
  • Analyzes Profit & Loss Reports and process monthly and other required reports

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Multi-Unit or Big Box Retail Management experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to delegate tasks
  • Strong and dependable work ethic, with a drive to uphold our Culture of Can Do
  • Takes full ownership for delivering results
  • Self-starter with a drive to continuously learn and develop in career
  • Ability to problem-solve and resolve conflict quickly

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Ability to work weekends, nights, holidays, and outside of scheduled hours when required
  • Available to attend national sales meetings, beauty shows, and sales operations meetings
  • Basic computer skills
  • Requires flexibility in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
